Carl Maria von WEBER 1786 1826 |
 |
Weber published three collections of piano duets, Op 3 (6 pieces, 1801), Op 10 (6 pieces, 1810) and Op 60 (8 pieces, 1818-19). At present the first set is available here: I hope to add the other two eventually.
Some editions of the Op 3 set give the title as "6 easy pieces", and they are clearly designed to be technically undemanding (especially the Primo part. But they are also very melodious, beautifully written, and rewarding to play.
The first piece is entitled Sonatina, but it is in fact a single movement. However the Rmance and the Rondo (numbers 2 and 6) form very appropriate second and third movements it seems likley that they were intended as such.
