Jan Ladislav DUSSEK 1760 — 1812

Jan Ladislav Dussek was a pianist and prolific composer, greatly admired during his lifetime; for example when the young Chopin was writing his two piano concerti he was said to have been influenced by those of Dussek. His writing was certainly fluent and pianistic; but personally I tend to find it unexciting. However I have come across some pieces which seem to me quite beautiful, such as this Adagio.
